  • I just want to thank you for everything, but also tell you that today I went for my first sail in the bay. It was absolutely amazing being in control of a boat like this. It sailed beautifully and I felt very comfortable handling it. I hope to have you out for a sail soon. Thanks again for everything that you and Cape-Yachts have done for me so far. I really appreciate it. Buying this boat has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. This has been a trip to remember and I really don't want to leave.

    Sincerely,
    Vincent P. Basileo
  • "I just wanted to drop you this quick note to let you know how incredibly happy I am with Drew Mellody. As you know, my experience with Cape Yachts started off a bit rocky. But after we spoke last winter, you turned that around for me by giving me direct access to Drew, and ever since I've been working directly with Drew, I just couldn't be more pleased. Not only does he know his stuff better than anyone I've ever met, his prompt responses, his courteous manner, and his incredible customer service focus and drive for perfection are admirable and enviable. In just about every interaction I've had with him, Drew has exceeded my expectations and done things above standards I would hold myself to.

I am usually a do-it-yourselfer - in part to save money, but even more so because experiences I have had in the past have proven to me the old saying "if you want it done right, do it yourself." Well, Drew has turned around my thinking. Now, if I want something done right - I ask Drew. And by having Drew do it right the first time, I think it is actually saving me money. Regardless, just to know that I can give it to Drew and not worry, that makes it worth whatever the cost will be.

So bottom line, he's awesome. I'm sure you already knew that from the countless praise letters I'm sure you've received about Drew before this one, but I wanted to be sure you heard it from me too given how we started out. The boat is great, the engine is great, but what really makes them enjoyable is not the pieces of hardware themselves, but knowing that Drew is standing behind them and wants to do whatever he can to be sure I am happy with them.

Hope you have a great fall and nice winter - maybe I'll see you at a boat show or around the yard sometime."

    Sincerely,
    David Appugliese

  • NEPENTHE, Provincetown, MA - Art Mahoney
    Beneteau 331

"I wanted to say how much I appreciate the support from Cape Yachts, particularly that of Mark Edwards. From the moment that I began my search for a boat, Mark has been a true advisor, teacher and friend.

Mark has gone so far beyond what one might reasonably expect. Aside from showing different options, and helping me find the right boat last fall, he's been helpful in ways that have made all the difference; suggestions for upgrades, assistance with delivery, end of season close up, and outreach around Cape Yacht events.

Just last Saturday he met me at the boat with folding ladder stowed in his trunk, so that I could get on board for measurements, and truth be told, a wistful look around the boat.

I don't think I've ever experienced such a level of support in any purchase that I have made. I felt it important to let you know that you have a real find in Mark."

  • MAZEL

    Xander on MAZEL

MAZEL, Noank Village Boat Yard, CT - Harriet and Nathan Fischer
    Beneteau 40

"Nathan and I have spent New England summers on the water since the early 80's, when we started trailering a Sunfish to the Barkhamstead Reservoir near Hartford, CT with our four young children. We have owned used 16, 22 and 30 foot sailboats through the years, always thinking "one day..." we'll move up to a new, larger boat.

With our eyes set on a new Beneteau, we met Eric Krusell of Cape Yachts at the Boston Boat Show in January 2008. Eric guided us through the new boat buying process with skill, professionalism and knowledge. His obvious love of the sport and detailed experience as a yacht broker helped us navigate through the all the channels.

We enjoyed working with Eric, he is thoroughly delightful as a person and boating pro. Eric is always available by phone and helped us make the big move to our Beneteau 40, MAZEL. He even drove after hours through the rain from Noank, CT to Cape Yachts in South Dartmouth for the commissioning and send-off! Eric has helped make our first summer with the MAZEL smooth sailing. Thank you Eric!"

  • Beneteau 331

    Beneteau 331 - Waquoit, MA

"We recently put our Beneteau 331 up for sale with Eric Krusell as our broker. He was also our broker 6 years ago when we purchased her from Cape Yachts. When we made the decision that it was time to sell her we immediately thought of Eric and it paid off. His sensitivity to our feelings and assurance that "he would find her a good home" were evident from day one and within TWO WEEKS she was sold and on her way to that "good home." We would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Eric if you're thinking of buying or selling a boat. Again, thanks for a superb, thorough job. You made it so easy!"

  • WIND TRAVELER

"Dear Dave: I want to let you know that the concern expressed by and the service received from Cape Yachts in general and from Jim Hanson and Mark Andre specifically was extraordinary. Faulty fuel and the consequential impact on my engine's performance was a frustrating interuption to our summer cruise and an expensive experience. However, Jim and Mark went above and beyond to solve the problem in the shortest possible time. I also felt comfortable because they expressed genuine concern for my situation from our first contact. Your team always displayed respect for my vessel, "Wind Traveler" leaving it as clean as they found it each time they came aboard. This was also very much appreciated. Congratulations on assembling such a fine team at Cape Yachts and please thank both Jim and Mark for their professional performance and assistance! By the way, "Wind Traveler" has been performing better than new since we left Cape Yachts. Today, we are heading thru "Hells Gate" for Staten Island to hide from 'Hana.'"

  • 1984 Hunter 31

"I recently purchased a 1984 Hunter 31 sailboat for the sum of $6,000 from your company. While I realize that a sale such as this one is probably more of a time, aggravation and money loser than anything else, I felt compelled to write this letter. Your staff at the South Wharf Yard could not have been more helpful, professional or courteous. Starting with my first phone calls to Patrick for the purchase, scheduling repairs with Deb, to my closing with Louisa, continuing down to the yard with Marc and all the yard guys including Phil and the young guys who stepped and rigged the mast. My treatment at your facility was like I was a $600,000 yacht customer as opposed to a $6,000 customer. As a business owner, and boat owner, over the years I have had occasion to do business with several marinas and boat yards and I must say your staff is head and shoulders above the rest. Sometimes as business owners we only hear the bad from customers and not the good, in this case I wanted to not only tell you about the good, but I am shouting it from the rooftops! Your staff deserves to be commended because they are excellent! I am sure by treating all your customers this way you will have continued and tremendous success in the future. Thank you again."

TERRAPIN, Plymouth, MA - Mark Wells
    2004 Beneteau 331

"Just completed the commissioning of the TERRAPIN. Phil, Ray, Mark and the rest of the staff made it an extremely enjoyable experience. All the items on the P & S were handled and the boat orientation was very detailed and helpful. Whether it was rigging or mechanical the entire staff had the knowledge and passed the info in a friendly and informational manner. This is my second Beneteau purchased from Cape Yachts and now with the addition of South Wharf it makes the commissioning even better.

Look forward to returning to South Warf for storage next winter after a great season of sailing."

"Love the boat... it has an unbelievable ride!

    Love it!

By the way; in baseball terms, Don Brophy is a .400 hitter. Great sales guy... great guy... he gets it. Take good care of him... he is a solid representative for any company."

  • Halcyon

HALCYON, Andover, CT - Nate and Mary
    1990 O'Day 240

"Yesterday, my girlfriend Mary and I rolled 'Halcyon' back into our driveway here in Andover, CT after more than 1,200 nautical miles of sailing. Our voyage was incredible. We made our goal of sailing through the Keys for a month and then took another month coming back up the ICW from Miami to Oriental, NC. The boat had only some small typical problems. The 240 is an excellent small cruiser, it's too bad O'Day doesn't exist anymore.

I would like to thank Patrick Lane, Joan Kareta and Dave Nolan formally for helping me to achieve one of my dreams. We have already formulated our five year plan and are researching boats capable of withstanding our next adventure. See you in four and a half years!"

    COUNTY GIRL
COUNTY GIRL, Falmouth, ME, Bill & Annette Newberry,
    Beneteau First 36.7

    "Greetings Phil and Craig,

Our delivery was successful and completed nearly five hours ahead of schedule. The weather was a bit challenging but the crew never complained and there were plenty of smiling faces. The southerly finally kicked in around 1900 and we were able to cross Cape Cod Bay under spinnaker doing between 8 and 9 knots. We sailed the rest of the night on a beam reach and as the breeze eventually shifted to NE we performed our first tack just off Cape Elizabeth, Maine at 0730 on Sunday morning (less than 10 miles from home).

Phil, please pass my sincere thanks along to your entire crew and especially Andy, who made our commissioning such a wonderful experience. I can not say enough about how well we were treated and how satisfied we felt when we left the dock on Saturday morning. To say we are extremely happy would be an understatement."

    Best Regards,
    Bill & Annette
  • MALABAR
MALABAR, Chatham, MA, Frank & Joan-Ellen Messina,
    Beneteau 393

    "Dear Eric Krusell,

Just thought I would share the photos of you and Andy on my 'shakedown' cruise. Well you did it again... another satisfied Beneteau customer!

Malabar, my new Beneteau 393 is fun, sails well and Joan-Ellen is enjoying the spacious cabin areas below. We made a good move moving up from the Beneteau 331 to the 393. We plan a busy summer cruising the Cape, Islands, Nantucket, Boston area and Newport. We are also planning to head south to Florida in the fall and winter on the boat in Ft. Pierce.

Again, thanks for your help in moving us through the selection, buying and commissioning process.

    Appreciate your knowledge and experience,"

  • FOUR STARS

    FOUR STARS
FOUR STARS, Brewster, MA, Tim and Maureen McAdams,
    Beneteau First 44.7

"To say that we are extremely pleased with the Beneteau First 44.7 would be an understatement. Since taking delivery from Cape Yachts 2 seasons ago, we have cruised Four Stars from Cape Cod to New York.

The Beneteau First 44.7, Four Stars, named for our four sons, has certainly fit our criteria of a comfortable performance cruiser. When we approached Cape Yachts looking for a boat that would allow me to race as well as cruise with my family of six, Eric Krusell introduced me to what was at that time the new First 44.7. This boat has certainly exceeded our expectations.

The three state room layout easily accommodates the entire family, while the Farr design gave us the edge that enabled us to win several races including a first place finish in the IRC division of the 2006 Newport to Bermuda race in June, first place finish in the IRC division of the New York Yacht Club Annual Spring Regatta, and a first place finish in the 2006 New York Yacht Club Race Week, in Newport Rhode Island.

We would like to thank Cape Yachts and Beneteau for helping us realize the dream of racing competitively and discovering the joys of sailing with our family. "

    Very Sincerely,
    Tim and Maureen McAdams
  • Elusive
ELUSIVE, Cambridge, MA - Genevieve, Rose & Brendan Fahy, Beneteau 473

"Dave Nolan and his team at Cape Yachts are top notch, from the day we took delivery in the summer of 2002 - to now - they have been nothing but responsive to all of my annoying questions!!

As you can tell from the photograph, we enjoy every minute on Elusive and can't wait for next season!"

  • PANACEA
PANACEA, Perry & Sheila Vieth, Swift Trawler 42

"I just want to let you know what a great summer my entire family had on our Beneteau Swift Trawler. We have had three different Beneteau sailboats over the past 15 years, but we never spent more time on board or cruised to more places than we did this summer with the trawler. The trawler's speed allowed us to go further and take excursions even when we had limited time due to the family's busy schedule. Moreover, Beneteau's traditional wood interior is both comfortable and attractive. Each time we pulled into a new harbor we had visitors who complimented the entire boat's design. I also want to thank the Cape Yachts Staff who made the commissioning process and subsequent servicing a breeze!"
  • Chip Carlson
FISH'N CHIP, Harwichport, MA - Chip Carlson, Shamrock 29 Walkaround

"I would like to take a few moments to express my complete satisfaction with Cape Yachts. I purchased my Shamrock 29 Walkaround last July, and have found this boat to be perfect for me in every way. Any time I have had any issues, Dustin Wolfe would make sure that it would be taken care of in a timely manner. If I were ever inclined to move up (or down) I would certainly visit Cape Yachts first. Sincerely a very satisfied customer, Chip Carlson."
  • The Fish Family
AKOLU MAHIE, Al, Jan and Greg Fish,
    Beneteau 393

"We have just purchased our third Beneteau from Cape Yachts and once again cannot say enough about the quality of service and attention to detail every step of the way. We had an unfortunate event take place that left us "boatless" unexpectedly. Dave Nolan was very supportive in helping with our loss and with locating a boat for us and swapping orders with another dealer in order that we could take delivery for the summer sailing months.

Once the boat arrived from the factory, Dustin Wolfe and his service team really went the extra mile to get the boat outfitted and commissioned in record time while still paying attention to every little detail.

It is obvious from our three purchase experiences, that Cape Yachts really values each and every customer and is committed to ensuring complete satisfaction. It is hard to find a dealership these days that are this attentive to customer requirements, perform quality work and come through on time."
